Saturday, we woke up super early and headed down to the Balloon Fest!
When we got there, they had already been blown up and only one was starting to launch.
We were kind of bummed only because we like to watch them from start to finish.
Although, we were just happy that this year they actually launched unlike last year.
Andy had never seen the balloons so it was fun to show him them all!
This year they had a new balloon, the "Darth Vader Balloon"
It was awesome!
They even had a Smokey the Bear balloon.
6:00 in the morning!
The Coco-Cola balloon is big,
and unfortunately there is no place in the Provo/Orem area that is big enough for it to land.
So instead they blew up the balloon and gave rides up in the air and then back down.
After the balloon landed, the pilots asked all the children around to come and help get all the air out,
by rolling on the balloon.
It was way cool to watch all the kids!
---
After the balloons we were all hungry, so we went to Magleby's Fresh to eat breakfast!
Yummy pancakes and STRAWBERRIES!
yay!
---
After breakfast, Andy and I ran home to take a nap before going to play Toothpicks.
We went to toothpicks and played for an hour, until we got so tired!
It was probably 98 degrees (not the band) outside,
but at Old Mill since it's like a green house effect, it was close to 113 degrees!
It was still fun to play even though all the people that said they were coming didn't show up.
---
When Toothpicks was over and we were all showered and clean,
Emily, Andy and I went up to my grandparents house to watch the Stadium of Fire.
We also had a BBQ, which was delicious!
A video of the finale!
Thanks Em
for spending the first two days/nights of the holiday with us!
