New Week's Resolutions:
During first week of the New Year, most people are enthusiastic about their resolutions. After this week, however, their zeal begins to dwindle, and soon they've forgotten all about their resolution. Thus instead of a New Year's resolution, it's a New Week's resolution, seeing as it only lasts a week.
Real New Years Resolutions for 2011:
Spritual:
1. Read Scriptures in the morning and at night.
2. Say Prayers in the morning and at night.
3. Clean up the language.
4. Pay tithing on time.
5. Go to church every week.
6. Temple Recommend-Go!
7. Do Visiting Teaching every month.
Physical:
8. Get a gym pass/used it.
9. Fast food (the most) once a week.
10. Love myself/Self Confidence
Personal:
11. Shower in the morning.
12. Wash face at night.
13. Brush teeth at night.
14. Eat Breakfast.
15. Make bed.
16. Have a positive attitude.
17. Make time for myself.
Social:
18. Lunch 1/month with:
Treesa, Emily and anyone else who would like to do this too!
19. Attend a ward activity at least once and month.
20. Make time for others.
The ones higlighted in green are the "Morning Five".
See here if you'd like to know what this is/means.
Yesterday, in church it was Fast and Testimony meeting.
The bishop of the other ward that we were combined with, got up and talked about New Years Resolutions and how he doesn't like them very much.
He said how he hates that when someone has a problem they think,
"Oh, I'll just fix it when the New Year comes."
Rather than just fixing it when you have the problem and making it a habit right at that time.
I have always thought this as well.
If we just set goals at the beginning of the year rather than when the problems need to be fixed it'll be just like the "New Week's Resolutions"
So keep in mind, a lot of these goals that I have written down are goals that,
I have already started
and
want to continue doing,
and/or
to be better at doing them.
